(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Cortland, New York

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous experience in an Emergency Room (ER) required
• Proficiency in assessing, triaging, and responding to acute patient needs
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and care for patients experiencing urgent and emergency medical situations
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform other nursing interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to rapidly develop and implement care plans
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and progress
• Provide education and support to patients and families in stressful situations
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with policy and regulatory standards
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized ER environment
