Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Elmira, NY

Seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to provide high-quality care in a dynamic, 48-treatment space emergency setting. The ideal candidate will provide expert support to patients during night shifts, ensuring a safe and efficient environment while collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals. This is a contract-based opportunity.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Previous experience as an Emergency Room Nurse (ED/ER)
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and intervention skills in emergency situations
• Ability to effectively care for 1:5 patient ratios in a high-volume ED
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC or other ER-specific certifications preferred
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage, assess, and treat patients presenting to the emergency department
• Monitor patient progress, document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in EMR
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and ED protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Deliver prompt, compassionate care to diverse patient populations under pressure
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to established policies and procedures
