Key Details:

  • Schedule: Variable 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends may be required
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license (eligible to practice in California)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ current Emergency Room nursing experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS and TNCC strongly preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, working efficiently within a high-acuity setting
  • Exceptional communication and patient advocacy abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to diverse patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Perform rapid assessments, initiate interventions, administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses with accuracy and timeliness
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors
