Step into an essential role as an Emergency Department RN, delivering high-quality, individualized patient care in a dynamic clinical setting. Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team of caregivers, ensuring exceptional, evidence-based care for patients and their families. This contract position offers the opportunity to practice in alignment with organizational values and professional nursing standards, with support from nursing leadership.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Schedule varies and includes coverage on different days of the week
- On call: two 24-hour calls every 8 weeks
- Weekends: minimum every other weekend
- Holidays: minimum 2 major, 2 minor holidays
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
- Active RN license (single state or compact)
- BLS certification required upon hire
- ACLS certification within 180 days
- PALS certification within 180 days
- TNCC or ATCN within 18 months
- Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred
- Excellent English language proficiency, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Strong time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Comfort working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered, relationship-based care using the nursing process
- Coordinate and document safe, high-quality patient care
- Engage in interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor for nurses and students as needed
- Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and evidence-based improvement initiatives
- Uphold all organizational policies, standards, and codes of conduct
- Plan proactively for patient care needs across the continuum
