Step into an essential role as an Emergency Department RN, delivering high-quality, individualized patient care in a dynamic clinical setting. Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team of caregivers, ensuring exceptional, evidence-based care for patients and their families. This contract position offers the opportunity to practice in alignment with organizational values and professional nursing standards, with support from nursing leadership.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Schedule varies and includes coverage on different days of the week
  • On call: two 24-hour calls every 8 weeks
  • Weekends: minimum every other weekend
  • Holidays: minimum 2 major, 2 minor holidays

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
  • Active RN license (single state or compact)
  • BLS certification required upon hire
  • ACLS certification within 180 days
  • PALS certification within 180 days
  • TNCC or ATCN within 18 months
  • Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred
  • Excellent English language proficiency, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Comfort working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered, relationship-based care using the nursing process
  • Coordinate and document safe, high-quality patient care
  • Engage in interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor for nurses and students as needed
  • Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and evidence-based improvement initiatives
  • Uphold all organizational policies, standards, and codes of conduct
  • Plan proactively for patient care needs across the continuum
