(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Fairport, New York

Deliver impactful patient care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Emergency Room. This contract position requires an experienced RN who thrives in high-pressure environments and is adept at making critical decisions quickly. You’ll operate alongside a collaborative team of nursing and medical professionals to treat diverse and urgent patient needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license with a clear standing
• Minimum of one year’s recent clinical experience in an ER setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency in emergency protocols, triage, and crisis intervention
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to rapidly changing situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver responsive, compassionate care to patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries
• Triage incoming patients and prioritize based on acuity
• Perform rapid assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for immediate and ongoing effects
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation of care delivered and patients’ evolving conditions
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs
• Uphold infection control protocols and safety standards at all times
