Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Flushing, New York

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as an RN in an Emergency Room setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in emergency nursing skills such as triage, rapid assessment, IV therapy, and patient stabilization
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in acute care scenarios
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional certifications such as PALS or TNCC are preferred)
• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams, patients, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to ever-changing ER situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform prompt and thorough triage assessments, prioritizing care based on patient acuity
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patients according to care protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in evaluating and treating emergent medical conditions
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document patient care, interventions, and outcomes within the electronic health record
• Adhere strictly to infection control and safety regulations to ensure patient and staff wellbeing

$2,250 - $2,448/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
