Schedule/Hours:

  • Work hours tailored to travel nurses' availability (details provided during interview)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly assess patients’ health on admission and throughout each shift, attending to physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and continually revise individualized care plans based on collected data and reassessments.
  • Administer medications and treatments, following hospital protocols and ensuring safety through proper documentation.
  • Monitor and document patient responses to interventions, addressing pain management, patient progress, and educational needs.
  • Communicate patient condition changes promptly to physicians and interdisciplinary teams using SBAR techniques.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care planning, respecting patient rights and privacy at all times.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, intervene as necessary, and follow national safety and infection control standards.
  • Prepare for and respond to Code Blue, Code Pink, and other emergency scenarios.
  • Perform advanced patient assessments and prioritize care, ensuring smooth flow through the emergency department.
  • Educate patients and families, adapting information to their needs, and utilize Krames or similar resources.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license and relevant state licensure
  • Emergency Department experience across diverse age groups
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC certifications (TNCC/ATCN/CEN preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of emergency nursing procedures, medication administration, and hospital policies
  • Competency in ED documentation systems and patient flow management
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and crisis management skills
