Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current RN license, with ER clinical experience across all age groups
• Strong assessment skills and knowledge of the nursing process
• Proven ability to deliver high-risk medications safely per policy
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC required; TNCC, ATCN or CEN highly preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of SBAR, patient flow in the ED, and rapid evaluation protocols
• Comfort with patient education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the teaching/physician residency model

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and frequent reassessments
• Develop, revise, and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications accurately, monitor effects, and document everything promptly
• Employ strict adherence to sterile techniques, infection control, and safety protocols
• Educate patients and families, actively participate in discharge and care planning
• Utilize electronic documentation and follow communication best practices
• Respond to emergencies, activate rapid response, and engage in ED best practices and policies
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and orientation to emergency procedures
