Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Fort Drum, New York

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Emergency Room (ER) care to provide high-quality patient services on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where clinical expertise and rapid decision-making are crucial.

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Proven experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams
• Capable of remaining calm under pressure and handling multiple priorities
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting to the ER
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide life-saving interventions as needed
• Prioritize care for multiple patients with varying acuity
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Provide clear communication and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient status and care provided
• Comply with infection control protocols, safety regulations, and facility policies
