Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Groton, NY

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current registration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ER or emergency department nursing experience
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to medical emergencies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and staff
• Flexibility to adapt to changing scenarios in the ER setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage patients quickly and accurately based on their level of acuity
• Deliver direct nursing care, including administering medications, assisting with procedures, and monitoring patients’ status
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and fellow nurses to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with policies and regulatory standards
• Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols
