Skilled and compassionate registered nurses are sought to deliver high-quality emergency care in a busy Emergency Department setting. As an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team, you’ll promote patient-centered, evidence-based nursing practices that support optimal patient outcomes within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Schedule:
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Rotating days during the week; availability required for various days
- Minimum commitment of every other weekend
- On-call: two 24-hour calls every 8 weeks
- Holidays: required to work at least 2 major and 2 minor holidays per year
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license (state or compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 180 days of hire
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 180 days of hire
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) required within 18 months of hire
- Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive under pressure
- Demonstrated use of critical thinking, time management, and evidence-based clinical judgment
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the full nursing process to deliver individualized, culturally competent patient care
- Collaborate with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals to achieve care goals
- Document and coordinate care effectively using current technology
- Participate in shared governance, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional education
- Serve as a mentor or preceptor when needed, supporting a healthy work environment and future workforce
- Adhere to all organizational, legal, and regulatory standards
