Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Hahira, GA

Advance your nursing career by providing critical care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. This contract role seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care over an 8-week period in a non-trauma designated facility that serves a diverse patient population across all age groups. You’ll collaborate with a cohesive team while adapting to evolving leadership and clinical best practices as the unit moves through trauma designation review.

Schedule:

• 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Every other weekend (Friday–Sunday)
• No block scheduling
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to COVID unit possible

Desired Experience and Certifications:

• Active RN license (GA or compact), in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• TNCC (in hand at submission)
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, NIH
• EPIC charting proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in a Level I Trauma Center
• Experience with ventilated patients and effective triage
• First-time travelers considered, prior travel experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency care to patients with DKA, COPD, stroke, chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric concerns
• Adhere to 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Support best practices and shared governance as the department undergoes leadership reorganization
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and provide care across all age groups
• Maintain flexibility to float to related units, including the COVID unit as needed
