Seeking an experienced emergency room registered nurse to provide care in a dynamic and evolving unit focused on best practices and shared governance. This contract assignment offers the chance to work with a broad spectrum of patients across all age groups, providing support for acute conditions such as DKA, COPD, stroke, chest and abdominal pain, and psychiatric emergencies. The facility is non-trauma designated but is currently under review for trauma designation, further enhancing an environment committed to clinical excellence.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
- Every other weekend (Friday – Sunday) is required
- No block scheduling
- On-call: Not required
- Floating to the COVID unit is possible
Qualifications:
- Valid state RN license (GA or compact), active and in-hand
- American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications
- CPI, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC must be in-hand upon submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- Comfortable accepting a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Willingness to float as needed
Preferred Experience:
- Background in a Level I Trauma Center
- Ventilated patient care expertise
- Triage experience
- First-time travelers considered, but prior travel experience is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and deliver care for a wide variety of emergent medical conditions across the lifespan
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams during ongoing trauma designation and leadership reorganization
- Comply with all facility procedures and documentation requirements
