(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Harrisonburg, Virginia

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support a busy Emergency Room environment on a contract assignment. This role is ideal for a nurse passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care during critical moments. Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible shifts may be available depending on facility needs
• Some weekends, holidays, and night shifts may be required

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with authorization to practice
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and rapid response skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Experience with emergency protocols and triage highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care to ER patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Perform rapid assessments and initiate life-saving interventions as needed
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as directed by providers
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and escalate care appropriately
• Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, and responses
• Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and ancillary staff for optimal patient outcomes
• Provide information and emotional support to patients and families in crisis
