Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Hephzibah, GA

Make an impact as a key member of an interdisciplinary Emergency Department nursing team providing high-quality, individualized patient care. This contract position offers the opportunity to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with a diverse and collaborative healthcare group, supporting patients and families through every stage of emergency care.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Variable days each week
• On-call: Two 24-hour shifts every 8 weeks
• Weekends: Minimum every other weekend required
• Holidays: Minimum two major and two minor

Qualifications:

• Active RN license (Single State or Compact)
• Associate's or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain within specified timeframes)
• TNCC or similar trauma course (provisional accepted within 18 months)
• Experience with direct patient care preferred, but not required
• Proficiency in English, basic computer and technology skills
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service abilities
• Capable of functioning effectively under pressure
• Excellent time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the full nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver evidence-based, culturally competent care
• Foster relationships with patients and families, ensuring communication and care planning reflect patient needs and goals
• Coordinate care and documentation within an inclusive, professional environment
• Participate in performance improvement, adopting current clinical standards and shared governance practices
• Mentor or precept other nursing staff and students as needed
• Contribute to evidence-based practice, policy review, and protocol development
• Efficiently utilize resources for optimal patient outcomes

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
