Excel in a dynamic environment as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, patient-focused care. Guided by evidence-based practice and core nursing models, you will ensure individualized, high-quality, and safe care for patients, families, and significant others.
Schedule/Hours
- Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Schedule flexibility required for variable days
- On-call: Two 24-hour periods every 8 weeks
- Weekends: Minimum every other weekend
- Holidays: Minimum two major and two minor holidays per year
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current RN license (Georgia or compact state)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification (or obtain within 180 days)
- PALS certification (or obtain within 180 days)
- TNCC or equivalent trauma certification (or obtain within 18 months)
- Less than one year experience with direct patient care preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in English; basic computer/technology skills
Core Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide patient- and family-centered care tailored to individual needs and cultural considerations
- Partner with patients, families, and the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes
- Document care and maintain high clinical standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and shared governance activities
- Mentor and support other nursing professionals and students
- Uphold all policy, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
- Engage in continuous learning, research, and performance improvement initiatives
