This opportunity in an established regional medical center enables you to collaborate with professionals who deliver care to a diverse patient population across Sierra Vista and beyond. You’ll experience a variety of emergency cases—from trauma and cardiac to pediatrics and behavioral health—in a high-acuity, 22-bed ED that values innovation and teamwork. Exposure to different workflows, technology platforms (Cerner), and leadership styles will deepen your clinical expertise, boost your confidence, and expand your resume for future roles.
Schedule/Hours
- 7p–7a
- 36 hours weekly guaranteed
- Four weekend shifts per four-week schedule
- No call requirements
Key Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years emergency department experience
- Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC certifications
- Resilient, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
- Trauma and pediatric experience preferred
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care across a spectrum of cases (trauma, STEMI, stroke, GI, psychiatric, cardiac)
- Manage patient ratios: 4:1 for pod patients, 2:1 for critical, and 6:1 in fast track
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
- Confidently document using Cerner EHR system
- Uphold clinical standards and hospital policies in a fast-moving environment
