(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Huntersville, North Carolina

Experienced registered nurses with a background in emergency care are needed for a contract opportunity supporting emergency room operations. This role is focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients in fast-paced emergency department settings.

Schedule & Hours

• 12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• 75% of holidays required

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Prior experience working in an emergency room setting
• Solid clinical skills and sound judgment in high-stress situations
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility and adaptability to float across regional facilities: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (Main + Mercy + LCH), and Freestanding EDs within the assigned area

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and assess incoming patients in the emergency department
• Administer medications and vital treatments under established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to provide timely interventions
• Deliver patient and family education on procedures and care updates
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes meticulously
• Maintain a safe and organized environment for patients and staff
• Adapt quickly to float among affiliated emergency departments in the region as needed
