Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Ithaca, New York

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Clinical experience in an Emergency Room required
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Competency in rapid response and acute care interventions
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage and assess incoming patients, determining priority of care based on condition and acuity
• Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and wound care
• Respond quickly to emergencies, following established protocols and safety guidelines
• Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document observations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records
• Educate patients and families on treatments and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, complying with regulatory standards and infection control policies
