(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Kansas City, Kansas

Deliver critical care with confidence in a dynamic emergency environment. Experienced Registered Nurses are needed for a 13-week assignment, providing expert care and support in a busy ER setting. This role is ideal for professionals who excel under pressure and thrive on making a difference for patients experiencing urgent medical needs.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 12-hour night shifts (6:45pm – 7:15am)
• Two positions offer 36 hours per week
• One position offers 48 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Minimum certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Proven experience in Emergency Room settings as an RN
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization for incoming ER patients
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as required
• Collaborate closely with physicians and allied health professionals during high acuity cases
• Document all patient care and progress according to facility standards
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Participate in shift reports, safety huddles, and continuing education opportunities
