(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Kansas City, Kansas

A leading healthcare facility seeks a skilled and compassionate RN with emergency room experience to support patient care. This temporary assignment offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic emergency department, delivering critical care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• At least one year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room setting
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (other certifications such as PALS or TNCC are a plus)
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment of diverse patient populations
• Respond quickly to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies
• Start IVs, manage medications, perform wound care, and assist with procedures as directed by physicians
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, offering education and emotional support
• Maintain accurate patient records and promptly document assessments, interventions, and responses to care
• Follow all established protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
