Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic emergency environment, supporting individuals across all age groups in a facility currently pursuing trauma designation. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Registered Nurse with ER expertise and a commitment to best practices. Expect to work with a variety of cases—including DKA, COPD, stroke, chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric emergencies—while positively impacting patient outcomes during an important period of leadership transformation and growth.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 8-week contract
  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
  • Every other weekend required (Friday–Sunday)
  • Floating to the COVID unit possible
  • No block scheduling
  • No on-call requirements

Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted RN license in Georgia or compact state, in-hand
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting systems
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIH, and TNCC (must have at submission)
  • Experience with Level I Trauma Centers, ventilator management, and triage is advantageous
  • Open to first-time travelers, experienced staff preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse patient population—including both medical and psychiatric presentations
  • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, ensuring attentive and responsive care
  • Float between units as assigned, including potential COVID unit assignments
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and adapt to evolving department and leadership changes
  • Support patient and family education and advocate for shared decision-making
