Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Lenexa, KS

Embark on a dynamic role providing expert care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This contract position is suited for Registered Nurses adept in the ER environment, who are ready to make a positive impact on patients during critical moments.

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract
• Three 12-hour night shifts weekly (6:45pm - 7:15am)

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Kansas RN license
• Minimum of BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (must be active at start date)
• Prior experience working in an emergency department setting, with the ability to thrive under pressure
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to high standards of patient safety and quality care

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in the ER, from triage through discharge or admission
• Rapidly assess and prioritize patient care needs in urgent, high-acuity situations
• Collaborate efficiently with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, perform complex procedures, and implement interventions per established protocols
• Monitor patient progress, document findings accurately, and communicate changes promptly
• Educate and support patients and families during difficult and stressful situations
