Preferred Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (CO or compact state)
• Minimum 1-2 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong assessment, triage, and patient advocacy skills
• Flexibility to float to other departments within competency
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Perform independent and delegated nursing functions following the state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
• Collect and assess ongoing patient health data
• Deliver health education and counseling to patients and families
• Provide restorative and supportive therapy and treatment
• Consult, delegate, and supervise as appropriate
• Review, monitor, and document therapy and treatment plans per guidelines
• Refer patients for advanced care as needed
