(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Long Beach, California

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Room experience for a 13-week contract. This role is ideal for nurses with a solid background in fast-paced clinical settings who value professional growth and hands-on patient care.

Schedule:

• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Evening shifts

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Previous experience working in an ER environment
• Proficient with Epic electronic health records
• Demonstrates strong communication and critical thinking abilities
• Committed to excellent patient care and a collaborative spirit

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, compassionate care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Quickly and effectively assess, triage, and manage acute medical situations and trauma cases
• Administer prescribed treatments, IV medications, and support interventions as indicated
• Communicate promptly and clearly with physicians, patients, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EHR
• Prioritize patient safety, infection control, and adherence to best practices in a busy environment
• Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up instructions

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
