Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Matthews, North Carolina

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Emergency Room care to provide exceptional support and patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity offers a structured, supportive setting where advanced clinical skills and team-oriented professionals can thrive.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Shift time: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend rotation
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Expectation to work approximately 75% of scheduled holidays

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a high-volume Emergency Department
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Excellent triage, critical assessment, and emergency intervention skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and acuity levels
• Comfortable floating within designated hospital regions and affiliated Emergency Departments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies, injuries, and acute illnesses
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and implement evidence-based interventions
• Accurately document observations, treatment plans, and patient responses in electronic medical records
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe and efficient care environment, adhering to all hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Demonstrate flexibility in floating to multiple facilities across the specified region as needed
