Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Matthews, NC

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license, unencumbered and valid in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Comprehensive knowledge of emergency care protocols, assessments, and triage
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly assess changing patient needs
• Proficiency in electronic medical records for accurate, thorough documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform prompt, accurate assessments and develop appropriate patient care plans under pressure
• Administer medications, start IVs, and conduct wound care when necessary
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other nurses to ensure seamless care transitions
• Provide calm, accurate information and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain a safe, sanitary ER environment by following established policies and best practices
• Respond efficiently to emergent situations, including traumas or code events, adhering to protocols
