This role is uniquely suited for professionals seeking growth through exposure to a busy Emergency Department and Inpatient Hold units. Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
- Prior experience with ED and Inpatient Hold patient ratios and acuity management
- Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking abilities
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (other certifications, such as PALS or TNCC, a plus)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt effectively in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for diverse patient groups
- Manage ED and Inpatient Hold assignments according to established ratios and acuity
- Conduct rapid assessment, triage, and initiate critical interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Support patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
