Travel (RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Meriden, Connecticut

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• Prior experience with ED and Inpatient Hold patient ratios and acuity management
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking abilities
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (other certifications, such as PALS or TNCC, a plus)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt effectively in fast-paced or high-pressure environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for diverse patient groups
• Manage ED and Inpatient Hold assignments according to established ratios and acuity
• Conduct rapid assessment, triage, and initiate critical interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Support patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
