(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Meriden, Connecticut

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in emergency room care to provide expert clinical support within a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals dedicated to high-quality patient care in fast-paced settings.

Schedule Details:

• Day shifts available: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• Call rotation includes:
  • One weekday call (3:30 pm – 7:00 pm)
  • One weekend call every four weeks (7:00 am – 7:00 pm)

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Valid RN license with proven ER clinical experience
• Current NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required
• Strong communication skills and ability to function effectively during high-pressure situations
• Proficient in patient triage, assessment, and rapid-response protocols
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working both independently and within a team environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate and efficient emergency care to patients of varying acuity
• Accurately assess, triage, and implement appropriate care plans
• Manage quickly changing patient conditions and notify physicians as needed
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, medications, and observations clearly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Participate in call rotations as scheduled, maintaining readiness for emergent cases
