Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in an emergency department with 71 beds, providing care for high-acuity, multi-system trauma and critical cases. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals experienced in Level II Trauma or higher, who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts: 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Rotating weekends: every other or 4 weekend days per month on block scheduling
- Four-week scheduling cycle
- No on-call required
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years’ critical care experience (ICU, ER, MS hold)
- Recent Level II ER experience (within the past year)
- Proficiency with Cerner or Epic EMR systems preferred
- For first-time travelers: at least 2 years’ experience with Cerner or Epic and Level II Trauma or higher
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, Secure/CPI (JACHO accepted), TNCC
Essential Skills:
- Trach and vent care
- Drip titration and ICU maintenance
- Chest tube, art line, CVL, midline, port, foley, splint/ortho device care
- Bipap/high flow, continuous bladder irrigation
Responsibilities:
- Manage a 1:4 ER patient ratio, 1:5 for MS holds, and 1:3 for ICU holds
- Deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population including trauma, STEMI, stroke, CHF, COPD, GI/GU, OB/GYN, pediatric, and psychiatric cases
- Collaborate with CNAs, HUCs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT and hospitalist teams for optimal patient outcomes
