Travel (RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Moreno Valley, California

Schedule/Hours:

• Travel assignment; specific shift details will be provided upon interview.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license, eligible to practice in California
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC certification (TNCC/ATCN/CEN highly desired)
• At least one year of recent Emergency Department experience
• Proficiency in advanced patient assessment across all age groups
• Familiarity with SBAR handoff protocol and Core Measures guidelines
• Excellent documentation, critical thinking, and rapid triage skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and throughout the shift, addressing physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs
• Formulate and continuously update individualized care plans using multidisciplinary data
• Safely administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and the 7 rights of medication administration
• Diligently monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient conditions, ensuring timely handoffs and use of reporting protocols
• Provide patient and family education addressing care needs and discharge planning, utilizing resources like Krames
• Coordinate with healthcare team members and participate in care planning and evaluation
• Implement infection control, life safety, blood transfusion, and disaster procedures in compliance with hospital standards
• Master documentation tools and ED-specific patient flow processes
• Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and safety at all times
