Schedule / Hours:
- Day, Mid, and Night shifts available: 7:00am–7:00pm, 11:00am–11:00pm, 7:00pm–7:00am
- Every third weekend rotation
- No on-call requirements
- Holiday rotation based on departmental needs
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience (all trauma levels considered)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience essential (not accepting first-time travelers)
- Advanced skills in IV starts, foley and NG tube insertion, neuro assessments (NIHSS), triage, and critical care interventions (including pressors, drips, sedation)
- Strong adaptability, leadership, and expert-level ER acumen
- Commitment to teamwork and compassionate patient care for all ages and backgrounds
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care across the emergency patient spectrum (infants to geriatrics), stabilizing and preparing for transfer as needed
- Manage acute cardiac, trauma, behavioral health, and multi-system emergencies in a 31-bed environment with an average census of 78 daily
- Initiate and titrate cardiac/vasopressor/insulin infusions, perform neuro monitoring, lead and assist with codes, and provide moderate sedation for bedside procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including 24/7 management, charge RNs, and advanced practitioners
