Working in a fast-paced Emergency Department equipped with 31 beds and treating an average of 78 patients each day, you’ll collaborate with a diverse clinical team. This setting is ideal for experienced ER nurses seeking to broaden their expertise, learn fresh approaches to leadership, and boost their resume by managing a wide spectrum of cases including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and critical care interventions.
You’ll encounter all age ranges and diverse patient backgrounds, expanding your clinical scope and cultural competence in a setting supported by 24/7 on-site resources. This travel role encourages personal and professional growth through exposure to advanced procedures, multiple disciplines, and true teamwork.
Schedule/Hours
- 12-hour shifts: Days (0700-1900), Mids (1100-2300), Nights (1900-0700)
- Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend
- Holiday: Rotational schedule assigned based on unit needs
- Flexible scheduling and manager support for RTO
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience (any trauma level)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong IV, triage, neuro, code, and procedural skills
- Must excel in high-acuity situations and demonstrate collaborative, adaptable teamwork
- Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Perform IV starts, foley insertions, neuro assessments, and manage critical conditions
- Triage and stabilize trauma patients; assist with bedside procedures; administer and titrate drips and medications
- Function as an ER subject matter expert, leading by example
