Travel (RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Mount Washington, Kentucky

Working in a busy 31-bed emergency department serving a diverse patient population across all ages—from infants to geriatrics—you’ll encounter a wide range of cases including cardiac, trauma, behavioral health, and critical medical conditions. This role promises unique exposure to various workplace practices and leadership styles, providing valuable experience for your resume while allowing you to broaden your clinical acumen.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts: Days (0700-1900), Mids (1100-2300), Nights (1900-0700)
• Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Assigned holiday rotation
• Scheduling set in 6-week increments, sent a month in advance
• Flexible approach to requested time off

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active RN license, with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in any trauma level
• Prior travel experience required (not open to first-time travelers)
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred
• Strong IV insertion, neuro assessment, triage, and moderate sedation skills (versed, fentanyl, ketamine)
• Able to manage cardiac drips, pressors, insulin drips, code response
• Team player, adaptable spirit, and comfortable acting as ER subject matter expert
• Experience with all age groups and diverse socio-economic backgrounds

Core Responsibilities:

• Rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization of critical patients
• Initiating/titrating cardiac, sedation, and critical care infusions
• Performing IV starts, inserting foleys and NG tubes
• Supporting bedside procedures and moderate sedation
• Closely collaborating with ER providers, hospitalists, and support services

$1,790 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
