Step into a dynamic emergency environment as an experienced RN supporting a diverse patient population. This contract position offers the chance to work 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00), with every other weekend (Friday–Sunday) included. While block scheduling is not available, flexibility and a commitment to exceptional patient care are essential. Floating may be required, including the possibility of assisting with COVID units.
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license (GA or compact state), held at time of application
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, NIH, and TNCC (must have TNCC in-hand at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience
- Proficiency in EPIC charting
- Ability to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
- Willingness to work every other weekend (Friday–Sunday)
- Open to first-time travelers, but prior travel experience preferred
Preferred Background:
- Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center
- Exposure to ventilated patient care and effective triage
- Experience with a wide spectrum of diagnosis, such as DKA, COPD, stroke, chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric emergencies
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality emergency care across all age groups in a non-trauma designated, but trauma-reviewing, facility
- Adhere to facility protocols while providing compassionate, efficient interventions
- Float as needed, including to the hospital’s COVID unit, based on patient census and staffing needs
- Collaborate as part of an evolving team, engaged in shared governance and implementation of best practices
