Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in New Britain, CT

An excellent opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in emergency room care. This contract role supports high-quality patient care within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shifts: 6:00am–2:30pm or 7:00am–3:30pm
• Call rotation includes one weekday (3:30pm–7:00pm) and one weekend every four weeks (7:00am–7:00pm)

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with demonstrated proficiency in ER nursing
• Experience working in an emergency department setting
• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and prioritization capabilities
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Reliable, compassionate, and attentive to diverse patient needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting to the emergency department
• Triage and assess new arrivals rapidly, ensuring timely interventions
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as per protocol and physician orders
• Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans
• Document observations, care provided, and patient responses with clarity and accuracy
• Uphold infection control and patient safety standards across all shift assignments
• Participate in required call rotations and remain flexible to support team coverage
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatments, and follow-up care

$2,323 - $2,458/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
