Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Newark, NJ

A contract opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department. This role requires providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a fast-paced environment. Nurses will work in a team-focused setting, deliver expert clinical care, maintain impeccable documentation, and uphold the highest standard of professionalism and patient safety.

Schedule:

• 3 days per week
• 12-hour shifts (7:00 pm – 7:00 am)
• Part-time, 36 hours per week
• Contract runs from 11/16/2026 to 02/13/2027

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN License
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience, with the ability to manage up to 7 patients
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification required for pediatric ER roles
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred)
• Strong assessment and clinical skills
• Proficiency in documentation and patient education
• Competence in the use of emergency equipment and procedures
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive and systematic patient assessments
• Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to patient needs
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in line with regulatory standards
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and maintain patient confidentiality
• Collaborate effectively within the patient care team
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care instructions
• Assess and support pre-admission and post-operative testing

$2,211 - $2,419/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
