As a valued member of a multidisciplinary Emergency Department, you'll collaborate daily with expert physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff in a 54-bed Level III Trauma and Level II Stroke Center that handles over 60,000 patients annually. This position offers a front-row seat to advanced emergency care, enhancing your skills and expanding your clinical knowledge through exposure to high acuity cases, varied patient populations, and innovative workplace practices. Regular rotation through different units and hospitals further broadens your experience as you adapt to diverse leadership styles and operational procedures.
Schedule/Hours:
- Choice of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Rotating weekends (every other weekend required)
- Holidays as needed
- Floating to other units and hospitals as assigned
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Active State of Alabama or Compact RN license (no temporary licenses accepted; must be verifiable on NURSYS)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience, or 18 months with highest licensure and at least 1 year recent ER experience
- Required Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS or Red Cross equivalent, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), SECURE (on-site)
