Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Olathe, KS

Step into a vital role supporting emergency care through expert nursing skills in a dynamic hospital environment. You’ll collaborate with dedicated healthcare coworkers to deliver outstanding patient outcomes in the fast-paced Emergency Room.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour nights, 6:45pm to 7:15am

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in Kansas
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing strongly preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and ability to work effectively in urgent, evolving situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage and assess patients upon arrival to the Emergency Room, prioritizing care according to clinical urgency
• Administer medications, interventions, and treatments while carefully monitoring patient responses
• Monitor vital signs and perform documentation to ensure outstanding care and regulatory compliance
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during stressful and traumatic situations
• Collaborate with providers, ancillary departments, and fellow nurses to manage patient flow and optimize care
• Maintain a safe, organized clinical environment and remain responsive to rapidly changing conditions
