Registered Nurse ER | Overland Park, Kansas

We’re seeking an experienced RN with a background in Emergency Room settings to provide compassionate, skilled care for patients with urgent needs. This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule, ideal for professionals who thrive in high-stakes, team-oriented situations.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour nights: 6:45pm – 7:15am

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license for the state of Kansas
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Previous RN experience in an ER/ED environment strongly preferred
• Ability to make critical decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and triage skills
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations and multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and monitor patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring timely and skilled intervention
• Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies
• Assist with procedures, wound care, and other emergent interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals
• Accurately document patient care, progress, and any change in status
• Provide emotional support and clear education to patients and their families
