Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Overland Park, KS

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour night shifts
• 6:45pm – 7:15am rotation
• 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Kansas
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required
• Minimum of one year recent experience working as an RN in an emergency room environment
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a broad range of urgent and emergent conditions
• Perform rapid assessments, interventions, and monitoring of patient status
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of treatment and patient safety are maintained
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with emergent procedures as needed
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes following facility protocols
