Advance your emergency nursing career in a dynamic contract role supporting a fast-paced emergency department setting. This position is ideal for Registered Nurses who are passionate about critical care and thrive in urgent, team-oriented environments.
Schedule:
- Three 12-hour night shifts
- 6:45pm – 7:15am rotation
- 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license in Kansas
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required
- Minimum of one year recent experience working as an RN in an emergency room environment
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a broad range of urgent and emergent conditions
- Perform rapid assessments, interventions, and monitoring of patient status
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of treatment and patient safety are maintained
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with emergent procedures as needed
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes following facility protocols
