As a registered nurse specializing in emergency care, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This contract opportunity spans 7 weeks and is best suited for professionals ready to put their emergency room expertise to use in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Schedule:
- 36/48 hours per week
- Day shift
Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Demonstrated experience working as an RN in an emergency department
- Proficient in Cerner, with required experience in EPIC
- Ability to multitask effectively and remain calm under pressure
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Triage, assess, and treat patients presenting with a wide variety of urgent and emergent medical needs
- Administer medications, perform interventions, and monitor patient progress in collaboration with emergency physicians
- Document patient information, assessments, interventions, and outcomes efficiently using Cerner and EPIC EMR systems
- Collaborate interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
