Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Pacoima, CA

As a registered nurse specializing in emergency care, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This contract opportunity spans 7 weeks and is best suited for professionals ready to put their emergency room expertise to use in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Schedule:

• 36/48 hours per week
• Day shift

Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Demonstrated experience working as an RN in an emergency department
• Proficient in Cerner, with required experience in EPIC
• Ability to multitask effectively and remain calm under pressure
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Triage, assess, and treat patients presenting with a wide variety of urgent and emergent medical needs
• Administer medications, perform interventions, and monitor patient progress in collaboration with emergency physicians
• Document patient information, assessments, interventions, and outcomes efficiently using Cerner and EPIC EMR systems
• Collaborate interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
