Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Penn Yan, New York

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care within an Emergency Room setting. Key Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license in New York (unencumbered)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working in an Emergency Room or similar acute care unit
• Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of current emergency care practices and protocols
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required); PALS certification preferred
• Ability to respond quickly and precisely in fast-changing conditions
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and charting systems

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional, comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Rapidly assess patient needs and implement evidence-based interventions
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity and current protocols
• Administer medications, start IVs, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with physicians
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, treatments, and discharge planning
• Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes thoroughly and accurately
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment within the department
