(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Pittsford, New York

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent ER experience (hospital setting strongly preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS or TNCC a plus
• Excellent assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication abilities for interacting with diverse patients and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in high-pressure situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and rapid triage of emergency department patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions based on established protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other clinicians to develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide education and support to patients and their families during urgent, stressful situations
• Operate and monitor specialized ER equipment
• Ensure thorough, accurate documentation within electronic medical records
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
