Step into a dynamic environment in a 71-bed, high-acuity Level II Trauma Emergency Department, recognized for managing complex, multi-system cases and offering robust support to every team member. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced registered nurses eager to contribute expertise in critical care while broadening their skills alongside dedicated healthcare professionals.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7a–7p
- 4-week schedule cycle
- Every other weekend or 4 weekend days per month (block schedule)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Expectation to work one major and one minor seasonal holiday (per policy)
- Up to 7 days off can be approved, excluding blackout dates
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER or critical care experience in Level II Trauma or higher (ICU, ER, MS hold)
- Experience with Cerner or EPIC EMR preferred
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Secure/CPI (nationally recognized/JACHO accepted), NIHSS, and TNCC
- Proficiency in trach/vent care, ICU drips, chest tube management, art line, CVL, central access, orthopedic device care, bipap/high flow, and more
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to diverse patient groups, including trauma, cardiac, neuro, OB/GYN, pediatric, and behavioral health
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 ER, 1:5 MS holds, 1:3 ICU holds
- Collaborate closely with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, and ancillary support
- Triage and manage high-acuity patient presentations utilizing advanced monitoring and medication delivery technologies
- Participate in structured orientation (24 hours classroom, 24 hours unit-based)
