Make a significant impact in a dynamic emergency care environment, delivering high-quality nursing services within a well-supported team. This contract opportunity is situated in a critical access hospital featuring a 10-bed acute/swing unit and an Emergency Room equipped with a trauma bay, treatment rooms, and triage areas. Work alongside experienced RNs, CNAs, and support staff to provide responsive care to a diverse patient population.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position, with flexible scheduling options based on facility needs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing environments (ER experience required)
  • Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to function autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in charting and electronic medical records

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly assess patients’ physical and psychosocial conditions throughout their visit
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with physicians and allied professionals, involving both patients and their families
  • Provide, document, and evaluate patient care interventions—adapting plans as needed
  • Triage patients, prioritize care, and coordinate all aspects of emergency treatment
  • Communicate effectively with the care team, families, and support staff to ensure seamless transitions and comprehensive care
  • Maintain current knowledge of hospital protocols, ER equipment, medications, and safety standards
  • Participate in ongoing performance improvement, training, and risk management initiatives
  • Consistently utilize protective equipment and adhere to infection control best practices
  • Educate patients, families, staff, and students according to assessed needs
  • Attend meetings, in-services, and maintain prompt, reliable attendance
