Emergency Nurse (RN) in Quincy, MA

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in an Emergency Room setting within a respected healthcare environment. This contract role offers the flexibility of a shift rotation, with a unique schedule consisting of four weeks of night shifts followed by four weeks of day shifts, or vice versa. You will work every other weekend and every other holiday, contributing to the team’s ability to deliver critical care to patients in need. Start dates are available for either April 6th or April 20th.

Schedule:

• Four-week blocks: Nights followed by Days (or reverse rotation)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS certification preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Flexibility to adapt to rotating shifts and schedule requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Triage and provide direct patient care to individuals in emergency situations
• Monitor vital signs, perform assessments, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures as necessary
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
