As a travel nurse in the Emergency Room setting, you’ll collaborate with professionals from varied backgrounds, broadening your understanding of best practices and leadership styles. Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment (specific hours will be discussed during the interview process)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC certification required; TNCC/ATCN/CEN highly preferred
- Proven experience across the age spectrum, from infants to geriatrics
- Competency in minor to life-threatening emergency care situations
- Previous Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience highly desired
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments on admission and throughout each shift, considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
- Establish, review, and update individualized care plans
- Safely administer medications and treatments, following the 7 rights and hospital standards
- Document all patient care, assessments, medication effects, and teaching in a clear, timely, and accurate manner
- Educate patients and families using appropriate resources
- Respond to dynamic patient needs, activating rapid response or code teams as indicated
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team and use SBAR for all handoffs
- Adhere to infection control policies, National Patient Safety Goals, and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
