Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid RN license and eligibility to practice in California
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC (TNCC/ATCN/CEN strongly preferred)
- Previous Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to care for patients across the age spectrum
- Proficient in emergency response and rapid patient evaluation
- Understanding of teaching hospital environment and chain of command
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and thorough patient assessments, reassessments, and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies
- Document meticulously, ensuring clear, accurate records and adherence to regulations
- Provide education to patients and families based on identified needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination and follow National Patient Safety Goals
- Maintain compliance with infection control, life safety, and documentation standards
- Respond capably to minor and life-threatening emergencies
