Schedule/Hours
- Travel assignment; specific shift details provided during interview
Qualifications & Experience
- California licensed RN with emergency department (ER) experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications required; TNCC/ATCN/CEN preferred
- Proficient in assessment and care planning for patients from birth through geriatric groups
- Strong communication skills; adept with SBAR and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Knowledgeable in infection control, safety standards, and patient rights
- Previous experience with ED documentation systems highly valued
Primary Responsibilities
- Rapid and thorough assessment of patients across the age continuum
- Creation, review, and update of individualized care plans throughout each shift
- Safe administration of medications, including high-risk agents, per protocol
- Execution of treatments and procedures following hospital policy and standard precautions
- Accurate, legible documentation of care, medications, and patient teaching
- Patient/family education individualized to assessed needs
- Prompt recognition and escalation of clinical deterioration
- Adherence to hospital safety codes, disaster plans, and rapid response procedures
