Serving in an emergency department here exposes you to a broad spectrum of workplace practices and leadership styles. Key qualifications:
- Active RN license, with extensive Emergency Department experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC certifications (TNCC/ATCN/CEN preferred)
- Skilled in advanced patient assessment for all age groups
- Proven ability in administering high-risk medications and managing critical care scenarios
- Strong documentation, patient advocacy, and education abilities
- Experience following infection control, safety protocols, and Core Measures guidelines
Typical responsibilities:
- Initial and ongoing patient assessment, including interpreting and acting upon diagnostic data
- Creating and updating individualized care plans and documenting progress
- Administering medications by the 7 rights and evaluating effectiveness
- Performing procedures to policy and standard precautions
- Educating patients and families about care and discharge planning
- Participating in multidisciplinary planning and effectively communicating changes in patient status
- Adhering to national safety goals and facility protocols for codes and emergencies
- Supporting patient flow, admissions, and discharges within the ED
- Completing ED skills checklists, contributing to quality improvement, and engaging in professional development
