Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Rochester, NY

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise for a contract opportunity. This role calls for a professional who excels in fast-paced environments, is skilled in acute triage, and can deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Familiarity with emergency protocols, rapid assessment, and trauma care
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient, evidence-based care for patients presenting with a broad range of acute and emergent conditions
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and implement physician-ordered treatments
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, and manage urgent interventions according to protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, ongoing care, and discharge plans
• Maintain meticulous and accurate charting consistent with hospital standards and regulatory requirements
• Respond effectively to crisis situations and demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing patient needs
