Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Rochester, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an emergency room setting
• Proficient in triage, assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, and critical care protocols
• Strong ability to react quickly and calmly in stressful circumstances
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with healthcare teams and patient families
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification highly desirable
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, compassionate care to patients experiencing acute illness or injury
• Perform emergency assessments, monitoring, and interventions according to established protocols
• Communicate clearly with physicians, specialists, and other nursing staff to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Document all patient encounters, observations, and interventions accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and outcomes
• Continuously monitor and assess changing conditions to ensure optimal patient safety
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control procedures, and regulatory guidelines
