A night nursing opportunity is available at a critical access hospital in Sedgwick, CO, focused on emergency care and medical-surgical float assignments. This role demands a skilled RN with experience in fast-paced inpatient settings, covering a 15-bed unit serving patients from birth through geriatric stages. The patient population includes those with COPD, diabetes, congestive heart failure, cardiac conditions, and trauma cases.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical units with 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Administer and manage cardiac and diabetic drips independently
- Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor patient status
- Prepare medications due to the absence of an in-house pharmacy
- Collaborate with medical teams adhering to TNCC, ACLS, and BLS protocols
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR system
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Colorado RN license with certifications (ACLS, BLS, TNCC) active and on file
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient RN experience, preferably with cardiac and diabetic drip management
- Competency with telemetry monitoring and emergency nursing procedures
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts
- 5/1 work schedule
