Travel (RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Shepherdsville, Kentucky

Working in a bustling 31-bed emergency department, you’ll expand your expertise with a broad spectrum of patient populations and complex diagnoses—from trauma and heart failure to behavioral health crises and post-transplant complications. This busy ER treats an average of 78 patients per day, providing valuable exposure to diverse workplace cultures and evidence-based practices. Collaborate with experienced charge nurses, physicians, midlevel providers, and specialty teams in a supportive environment designed for professional growth.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day: 7am–7pm
• Mid: 11am–11pm
• Night: 7pm–7am
• Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend
• No on-call required
• Assigned holidays based on rotation

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years recent ER experience (any trauma level)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
• Strong IV, triage, neuro assessment, critical patient management, and bedside procedural skills
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Adaptable, collaborative, and clinical ER leadership abilities
• Not accepting first-time travelers

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert care across all ages and multiple complex emergencies
• Lead rapid triage, initiate and manage drips, sedation, and critical interventions
• Perform IV starts, NG tubes, Foley insertions, and neuro assessments
• Support and guide less experienced team members
• Maintain patient safety and positive outcomes in a fast-paced setting
